That's 200 FA cups worth of CO2 for just 1 year of the new Kingsnorth power station.

E.ON - the company that likes to descibe itself as "changing energy" and "commited to minimising it's impact on the environment" are sponsoring this year's FA cup.
As part of their sponsorship of the football, E.ON have launched Carbonfootyprint.com
Fans are encouraged to reduce their carbon emissions or 'footyprints' to reduce the climate impact of the FA cup.
Which would be a lovely idea if E.ON wasn't proposing to build a coal power station in Kent this year. The new power station will output millions of tonnes of climate changing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, wiping out the efforts of millions of people who are reducing their emissions.
E.ON’s planned new coal power station at Kingsnorth would cancel out pledges to reduce emissions from 18 million football fans. So far, E.ON have pledges from 8,495 fans.

Rather than finding out about reducing your carbon footyprint, we suggest you get E.ON to clean up their act first by stopping the new power station at Kingsnorth:
Write to the Minister for Business, John Hutton and demand a public inquiry into the new coal power station at Kingsnorth.
You can also take action against new coal on Greenpeace and Christian Aid's websites.
Join the Stop Kingsnorth facebook group for more updates and event invitations.

We've got stacks of information about the new power station on our information pages. You can read more about climate change on the World Development Movement's pages.
To find out more about the FA cup see the BBC Sport site
Kingsnorth power station is currently owned and operated by E.ON see their page about the power station and their proposal for a new coal power station (pdf).
